The first concert is only one month away! Time to learn a lot of music, once again. But I like it! The guys start giving me piles to add to my already substantial pile.

The first task is to learn the music for their upcoming collaboration with the amazing Brazilian singer Luciana Souza. For the Fall, I will only play on the concerts with Luciana, while Andy still handles all of the Quartet recital concerts.

"Exciting" doesn't begin to describe how much fun it is to rehearse with the guys and Luciana. I totally dig the repertoire - mostly Brazilian stuff written for, or arranged by, the group. Luciana was a dream to work with. She is a consummate pro. She is blessed with a gorgeous voice - dark, yet agile and clear - and her musical training is superb. So she can pull off just about anything in any style. But she really grooves singing Brazilian music.
